Spyware is software that is installed without the user/owners consent on a computer to with the intention of observing or in some cases doing things outside of the users control such as the installation of 3rd party software or the tampering an redirecting of internet browsers,Spyware is also capable of changing pc settings, resulting in slow connection speeds, different home pages, an many other evils.
Spyware differs from worms and virus`s as it generally does not self replicate as part of it`s programming, This does not by any ,means render it safe though it`s capable of things beyond the scope of viruses and worms in many respects, It can read keystrokes therefore bank details.... an the damage it does to your surfing time by using your bandwith is massive and lets not forget all those unwanted pop-ups you find on screen.
